Hard man and two whimps :-)

Great night over in Wem. Arthur White told his story of drug addiction and violence and how 17 yrs ago Jesus turned his life upside down and set him on the road to recovery. Great story

Passion in Wem :-)

Last night I returned to Wem to speak at an event in their Passion for Life week.

It was great to be back amongst so many friends and it was great to meet Debbie Flood the olympic rower showing off her silver medal in the picture.

Back again tonight to speak at the quiz night.

Scouts parade.

Yesterday I was the guest speaker at the Allerton district Scouts Own service. It was the last ever as Allerton district is now merging to become South Liverpool District. Not that you will be bothered with the details !

Anyway after the service I lined up alongside the Mayor of Liverpool to take the salute from approx 500 scouts. It was a little weird given that 30 years ago I was one of the scouts who paraded.

Strange experience and very nostalgic.

I am still here :-)

Not been posting up as much lately. Had a touch of blogger fatigue.
I will try to rectify by blogging a bit more this week.
My days are very full at the moment so the few spare moments are usually spent snoring on the couch :-) Old age has crept up on me!!
Today I am off the see Frank Hinds who is the Anglican Diocesan Youth Pioneer Minister. Also on the to do list is Laura's birthday meal and a members meeting at the Bridge. Never a dull moment.

Isaiah 26:3-4

3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

Keep you mind on Jesus this week and know perfect peace .......

Spring is on its way

It's been a long Winter. The coldest for 31 years they say. So it was nice to see the snowdrops whilst walking Chester the other day.
