A few Tears ...

Lots of tears shed yesterday as we left Anna to fend for herself in university world . Heart wrenching stuff, Laura was balling her eyes out saying "its not fair we can't just leave her here" ;-( I had to remind her that she wasn't in prison just the halls of residence ;-)

She's leaving home ...

Anna is off to University this weekend . It's difficult to come to terms with the fact that she will no longer be around . We will all miss her , we all love her and we will pray for her every day :-(

Hospital visit

Mum was admitted to hospital yesterday over on the Wirral . Gill & I visited her in the afternoon .She has lots of physical problems going on but the saddest is her mental condition , she is gradually losing the plot ! Whilst this is sad, it does also provide moments of humour like when she started drinking her walking stick like it was a schooner of ale ;-)

21 years ago today ....

Gill and I were married this day 21 years ago ... We celebrated last night by going out with all the family ...Both of us are thankful for the years we have been together . Marriage , in my book and more importantly in God's book is highly recommended:-)

Trip down memory lane with Anna

Took Anna ( my eldest Daughter ) on a Dad's Date Day ( something I do twice a year with each of my girls) ... She wanted to go back and re-live some childhood memories, so we tripped over to Congleton where we used to live and to a local beauty spot that was a childhood favourite .

It was good to go back and strange to think that it is now four years since we left there ... Memories are very special things .

Bumped into Abi & Becky on the way home ...nice to see you girls .

Calm before the storm ..

It's been a quieter week this week so the batteries are charging up ready for the schools work to kick in next week .

As a church we go into 18 schools in the South Shropshire area which is a tremendous opportunity for the Gospel .

Katie is away on a Christian camp recovering from the trauma of her GCSE results which were much better than she expected ...she did really well and surprised herself ;-)

Also last Sunday Roger Carter came over to see us with his girlfriend Rachel . Roger was part of our mission in 2006 and in now working amongst the youth in Covent Garden & Soho . It was really good to have them over for the day . And Roger /Rachel if you are reading this keep in touch and let me know how the work is going .
