Gill & T along with Pete worked hard to put this years Carnival float together ...and this was the result of their efforts .... more Silver than Everton FC have ever won :-)

You may have noticed I have been on Holiday.
Bin Chillin for a couple of weeks ...
Week one was spent with our best mates in Derby , Paul & Ali , Matt & Sammy ...
I was the official chef for the week managing to give my mate Paul a touch of the trots towards the end of the week !!!
Life is tough for our much loved friends at the moment , they fully understand what it is to live out the biblical truth found in the Book of Romans 8 v17 " Now if we are children we are co-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ , if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may share in His glory"
They are all suffering but thanks be to Jesus , they have hope..... a hope that is everlasting
During the week Matthew reached the grand old age of 17 ..and now has his own set of wheels ..and a very expensive in
surance policy :-(
After Derby we headed off to Scotland to spend three days with friends from bygone years , Jerry ( the Snist ) , Helen , Hannah , Jo & Katie .
Loch Lomand was the location or rather an island on Loch Lomand called Inchmurrin .
We had a great time ..with a good few laughs ..especially when my less than light body almost managed to capsize the jetski !!
A few words and phrases that I will remember ...( you won't understand this next bit if you weren't there ..
As I said you had to be there ...
For the final few days we headed south to Eastbourne and had a wonderful sunny time ,courtesy of "The Wrights" ... The girls caught up on their shopping in Brighton ...Oh the joys of being in a house full of women !!

Tiring ..But Worth it
" Let us not become weary in doing good , for at the proper time we wil reap a harvest if we do not give up" Galatians 6:9
Its been a wonderful week , if not very tiring ( i'm getting old !!) 232 kids heard the Gospel this week & 250 folk crammed into the church for the parents evening last night .
Now it's on to next years planning .....We will be celebrating fourty years of Holiday Bible Club in Wem next year....
"The Big Bible Birthday Bash" ..let the planning commence :-)

Bond 2 the Bible
Holiday Bible Club began today ...170 kids turned up ..the most we have ever had on a Monday . ..here are a few photos..more to follow as the week progresses.
