The Apostle Paul from time to time would make and sell tents to provide an income to finance his missionary work .
Acts 18:3
"and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them."
2 Thessalonians 3:8
"nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, labouring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you."
Well I have my own little tentmaker business over on eBay ...inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Jon Mackenzie who first put me on to eBay a few years ago. I have from time to time sold one or two items .
Just recently though, I have taken it a little more seriously , driven by the basic household financial equation of "What comes in is not matching what goes out " ( I do have three daughters after all you know :-) )
I am trying to sell five or six household items a month ....so if you visit our house in a couple of years time your bound to comment on our minimalism ..cos there will be nothing left to flog :-)
